Rams still need a football game in 2011

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Albany State has released a tentative football schedule for the 2011 season.

Tentative because the Rams only have nine games scheduled and interim athletics director Richard Williams says the team needs ten games in order to qualify for the SIAC Championship game that will be played for the first time November 12th in Columbus.

The 2011 season is when the SIAC will split into two five-team divisions.

ASU will play four SIAC games against the east and three teams from the west.

That leaves ASU needing three non-conference games and so far they have only two.

ASU is looking to find a game for September 17th.

The Rams will play Kentucky State in the 28tn annual Circle City Classic in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium which is the home for the Indianapolis Colts.

Albany State will close out the regular season on November 5th against Fort Valley State in Columbus.
