VSU's Mitchell earns All-Academic honors

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -   Valdosta State's Courtney Mitchell has made the Gulf South Conference Winter All-Academic Team.

The former Sherwood Christian Lady Eagle had a 3.77 grade point average.

She is one of nine women athletes to make the GSC's All-Academic team.

Mitchell started 25 games this season and was second on the team in rebounds.
