ALBANY, GA (WALB) - In the next three weeks, Walmart hopes to fill the remaining 100 positions they'll have available at the new East Albany Walmart.
More than 100 people have already been hired to work at the new store. Seventy-five of those workers will come from the Camilla Walmart which will close one day before the new store opens in mid-May. The application process takes about 30 minutes. Some candidates are called the next day for an interview. If you want a job at the new store, you're encouraged to stop by the Lee County or Camilla Walmart or apply online.
"All the positions that we have available are listed on the Walmart.com when you go into the kiosk, so basically the skills and everything are listed in there as far as requirements as what we're looking for full time and part time employment," said Andy Carter, East Albany Walmart Manager.
Because of the size of the new store, as many as 20 more management positions are being added from what the Camilla store employed. Walmart is expected to take control of the new building April 11th.
