ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Chickens parts were scattered on the highway at the intersection of Highway 19 and Holly Drive in South Dougherty County, after a truck crashed near that intersection.
The American Proteins, Inc. tractor trailer, from Cuthbert, was headed north on U.S. 19.
The truck driver, 50-year-old Robbye Bishop, says a car stopped in front of him, and he was trying to avoid it.
Bishop swerved, and the load shifted, spilling chicken parts on highway. Calvin Cook, an eyewitness, said the truck was cut off by a car. "He was trying to avoid hitting him, and tilted the 18 wheeler trailer. Stuff just went on the floor, trying to keep from hitting him." said Cook.
Bishop was charged with failure to secure a load.
