ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany veteran, just released from the hospital, worries that government red tape from the Veterans Administration will put him back in the hospital.
Willie Ross served in Vietnam with the Marines and is now community organizer.
He says medicine doctors told him to take for congestive heart failure ran out Friday.
The Albany V-A Clinic says it's on the way, but four days later, Ross wonders if it will come in time.
Ross said "What's going on, after I leave Phoebe, I go back to the VA. It's always confusion. It's always confusion about who am I going to see. The Doctor ain't there. Or the Doctor ain't seeing nobody today. And it's hard to get the medication."
Ross says he and many other South Georgia veterans have been talking with Congressman Sanford Bishop's office about problems with V-A clinics delivering medical treatment to veterans.
We contacted officials at the Carl Vinson V-A Medical Center about Ross' complaints.
They told us the only person who could comment was not in the office Monday.
