ATLANTA, GA (WALB) -  The search for a new head basketball coach at Georgia Tech is now over.

The Yellow Jackets will introduce Brian Gregory as their new head men's basketball coach late Monday afternoon.

Gregory has been a very successful head coach at the University of Dayton for the last eight years.

He has led the Flyers to 97 wins over the last four years and the NIT championship last year.

In a statement released before Monday's press conference, Georgia Tech athletic director Dan Radakovich says Brian Gregory is a tireless worker and recruiter who cares deeply about his players and there is no question he will succeed at Georgia Tech.

Gregory succeeds Paul Hewitt who was fired two weeks ago.
