New Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez wants to see more runs on the scoreboard this season.
Gonzalez has brought in Larry Parrish to serve as the Braves hitting coach this season.
Parrish has been working in the Tigers minor league system since 1992 and was the manager of their AAA team in Toledo for seven seasons where he led the Mud Hens to two International League titles.
The former Montreal Expo player is excited about his job and says his first task is to learn the hitters he will be coaching this season.
Larry Parrish said. "Trying to pick up on what they do when they are swinging the bat pretty well. So, that when we start playing games. They start having trouble. Leaking oil a little bit. You have got something to go back on and try to correct it."
Former Braves hitting coach Terry Pendleton will coach first base and the infield for the Braves this season.
