ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Firefighters in Coffee County who worked tirelessly through the night got a big thank you from several businesses.

Zaxby's on Highway 441 south packed up boxes of chicken fingers and fries to feed the firefighters. Manager Lee Taylor said since so many of the guys worked late into Thursday night and were back out early Friday morning, the restaurant wanted them to know the work was appreciated.

"These guys that we're feeding this afternoon have been there, all night, nothing to eat, very little to drink, doing a lot, a lot of hard work and they're the real heroes and they've done a great, great job and a great service for this community," said Lee Taylor, Zaxby's manager.

Burger King also provided meals to firefighters, EMA personnel, Department of Transportation Officials, and the Georgia Forestry Commission.
