VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Valdosta State men's tennis team is unbeaten and ranked number one in the nation.
The unbeaten record and number one ranking are on the line in Savannah where the Blazers face number one ranked Armstrong Atlantic.
The Pirates won back to back national titles in 2008 and 09 while the Blazers are trying to win their second national title in five years.
These two teams believe Friday's meeting will likely be the first of two meetings this season.
VSU senior Otto Lenhart said. "Everybody is expecting this to be the final at nationals. It is like if you have already one win against this team this season, it will be good to bring into the final once it comes."
The VSU men's tennis team will host Embry-Riddle on April 9th and play the GSC tournament on April 16th at Montgomery, Al.
