AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Georgia Southwestern historic basketball season ended in the first round of the Division II regionals two weeks ago but the Canes are still making history.
Georgia Southwestern forward Phillip Brown has named to the Division II coaches All-American team.
Brown is the first Hurricane athlete to be named an NCAA All-American.
He is the first GSW basketball player to earn an All-American honor in nine years.
Brown averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds a game this season.
Leading GSW to the Peach Belt western division title and to their first NCAA DII regional appearance.
