T'ville suspect takes his life

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - After Thomasville police chased a suspected burglar into some woods near Cherokee Lake, he apparently committed suicide.

A Ga. State Patrol helicopter pilot just helped locate the body of the burglary suspect in Thomasville. The man apparently shot and killed himself while hiding from police.

Police were called when a neighbor spotted a burglary in progress at a home on Lakeview Drive.

The burglar took off running and police chased him into some woods. Canine units were called in to help capture him.
