ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Testimony began Monday afternoon in the murder trial of an Albany woman charged with killing her ex-husband.
Prosecutors 33-year old Marlina Hamilton lured 32-year old Christopher Donaldson into her Habersham Road home last October.
They say she hid a gun under the couch and shot him twice.
Hamilton's lawyer told jurors she had been abused many times by Donaldson and she shot him in self defense.
Prosecutors say Hamilton never reported any abuse until after the shooting. They say she was frustrated because she wanted to keep money coming from Donaldson for her three children but that she was also involved with two other men.
