ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany city commissioners are still reviewing applications for the next city manager.

The commission met behind closed doors Monday afternoon with the consultant they hired to narrow down the list of applicants.   They haven't picked the finalists yet, but Mayor Willie Adams says he doesn't think they are far from it.

He said, "I think within the next three weeks or so, I think we'll have some names that we can give to the press and the public."

The commission is expected to hold individual interviews with finalists next month.     Currently, Assistant city manager James Taylor, who applied for the job, is serving as interim manager.
