The Georgia DOT warns motorists of the possibility of low visibility due to smoke and possible fog on roads surrounding the Arabia Swamp Bay in Clinch, Lanier Atkinson and Berrien counties.

The following state routes could be affected-

S.R. 122, S.R. 168, U.S. 441/S.R. 89, and U.S. 221/S.R. 31.

There is a good possibility that S.R. 122 and other state routes in Clinch, Lanier, Atkinson and Berrien counties could be temporarily closed during the night time and early morning hours through Wednesday, March 23.

Motorists should exercise extreme caution. Drivers should be prepared for possible delays, unscheduled road closures and detours.

Georgia DOT urges travelers to call 511 for updated information about this fire. Georgia 511 is a free phone service that provides real-time traffic and travel information statewide, such as traffic conditions, incidents, lane closures, and delays due to inclement weather.
