ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State Ram football team has prided itself as being one of the most explosive offenses in the SIAC over the past few years but next season they'll have to continue that trend without the captain of the ship.
ASU offensive coordinator Steve Smith has resigned as the team's play caller to take a job at division 1 Tennessee State. Smith will serve as the Tiger's running game coordinator and o-line coach.
He spent two years turning the Rams "Gold Rush" offense into a powerhouse. They were 1st in the conference last season. Albany State went 19-4 during his tenure. The Rams are currently in a search for his replacement
