ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany native Josh Broadaway put on his 9th annual Crosshanded Classic Golf Tournament on Friday at the Stonebridge golf course.
The event is geared at raising funds to assist Broadaway in his journey upward in professional golf. He's played on the Nationwide Tour for 6 years now and got his first PGA Tour start at the Honda Classic earlier in the month. He finished tied for 43rd at 7 over.
Broadaway says he's grateful for every donation "I'm from here and my family has been here my whole life and just to have good friends come out and support it means a lot you know. Not only from just the financial stand point but just to know that you got a lot of people pulling for you. Everybody always gives me good support and I hope it continues."
Broadaway says the event usually raises him between 8 and $10,000.
