QUITMAN, GA (WALB) – Authorities in Brooks County are looking for a pair of violent carjackers who shot a man Monday night.

It happened at the intersection of Highway 76 and North Jefferson Street around 9 o'clock.

Police issued a lookout for the victim's burnt orange Chevy Tahoe. It was located a short time later near Old Dixie Highway in Thomas County, but the suspects were not inside.

We don't the victim's name or where he shot, but we do know that person was rushed to Archbold Hospital in Thomasville.

Police say the victim likely knew the suspects.
