ALBANY,  GA (WALB) –  A huge mess was created in Decatur County when a tanker truck full of fuel overturned.

Emergency crews worked for 14 hours to clean it up Sunday.

Troopers say the truck driver, 38-year-old Jeffrey McNeily of Florida lost control on Highway 241, swerved off the road, hit a ditch, and overturned.

He wasn't seriously injured.

A Hazmat Team worked with Decatur County firefighters until 10:00 Sunday night to drain the fuel from the tanker so it could be moved.
