Wrong scratch-off ticket turns into thousands

(NBC) –  A New Jersey man  is in shock after a clerk gave him the wrong scratch-off ticket. It turned out to be a $100,000 winner

The winner of the lucky lotto ticket is asking for his identity not to be revealed but plans to share his good fortune with the lotto clerk.

He walked into the market asked for a Deuces Wild scratch-off lottery ticket Monday night. Amber Johnson was behind the counter. She accidentally gave him an Aces High ticket instead.

It was an honest mistake; both scratch-offs were poker-themed.

Johnson noticed the mistake and went running after the customer, but her boss told her to stop.

"Let him go. Maybe it was meant to be," said Dominic Galle.
