ALBANY, GA (WALB) –A Marine stationed in Albany is back home safely after a middle east deployment.
Lieutenant Colonel Don Mills touched down in Albany Wednesday evening after almost a year in Kuwait.
His primary mission was to retrograde equipment and gear used in Iraq. Mills was greeted by fellow Marines as well as his wife, daughter and brother.
"I missed my family the most, most definitely. So I'm very happy to be back. It's great. It's been a long time, about 11 1/2 months in Kuwait," said Mills.
This was Lieutenant Colonel Mills' third tour in Kuwait.
