ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Thinking beyond borders, students and faculty at Albany State paraded through campus Wednesday morning displaying flags from more than three dozen countries.

The parade through campus is part of International Education Week at the school. Students are being taught the importance of not only tolerating those from different cultures, but appreciating their differences.

Jennifer Guzman-Bidro said, "A lot of people are not aware of a lot of cultures out there. A lot of people do not realize there are differences in different cultures. Like people do not realize that there are different dialects in Spanish from each culture."

Tenneisha Lowe said, "I learned that there's more to life than Albany, Georgia. That you can go out and explore different countries and learn about their cultures."

International education week wraps up at ASU tomorrow with a discussion about study abroad programs.
