ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The Albany City Commission's federal lobbyist wants commissioners to prioritize four of the city's biggest projects so they have a better chance of getting federal money.

Projects like a new Senior Center, an Intermodal Transportation Center, and Albany's Downtown Blight already have support from Congressman Sanford Bishop and Georgia's two Senators, but money for those projects all comes from the Transportation, Treasury, and HUD Administration bill lessening the chance they'll all get funding. After adding money for a new Airport Terminal to the list he asked them to prioritize the four projects.

"An Ideal way to craft a federal grant for a city is to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible and to not put all of your eggs in one basket no sometimes that is impossible base on the nature of the needs of the city," said Marion Turner, MWW Senior Vice President.

Commissioners are expected to turn in their priority lists sometime this week.
