Crime victim fights off robber with gun

By Stephanie Springer - bio | email ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A lucky Fitzgerald crime victim fought back and sent a home invader to the hospital and then to jail.

Two men rushed inside a home on Saywer Circle Friday night and demanded money. One of the robbers pulled the trigger on his gun but the gun didn't fire.

The victim,Greg McCray,wrestled that home invader to the floor and beat him over the head with the gun. 24-year old Joseph Durden was treated for his injuries and is now at the Ben Hill County jail charged with Aggravated Assault and Burglary.

Police are searching for his suspected accomplice 26-year old Warren Davis.
