
Governor Sonny Perdue officially signed off on nearly $66 million in stimulus-funded transportation projects. The largest single chunk of the money is coming to Dougherty County.
Nearly $14.8 million will be spent on safety improvements and turn lanes on US 19 and State Route 300 from the Mitchell County line to the Worth County line.
Another $667 thousand will be used to resurface part of West Oakridge Drive.
For this round of stimulus projects, Georgia is getting $65.8 million. Nearly $21.7 million will go to projects is our area.
