Arlington, GA (WALB) – GBI agents hope to conduct an interview by Tuesday morning with an Edison police officer who shot and killed a suspect after a high speed chase Friday.

Officer James Kopkie shot Chad Pierce early Friday morning in Arlington after a 20-mile chase.

Monday, agents talked with officers from Arlington and Calhoun County who were also there.

Late Friday, Pierce's body was sent to the crime lab in Atlanta, but GBI agents haven't gotten results yet.

They say Pierce was shot multiple times and more than three shots were fired from Kopkie's gun. Pierce was not armed.
