November 3, 2009 is election day in Georgia

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Don't forget to cast your ballot.

Tuesday November 3, 2009 is Municipal Election Day in Georgia. The polls will open in less than 24 hours and WALB News Ten will be watching 105 different races across southwest Georgia.  

There are 21 mayoral races and various council and school board positions up for grabs.

The only contested commission seat in Albany is in Ward three where Christopher Pike is challenging Arthur Williams. The polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM And once they close, WALB will follow more than 100 races around south Georgia on-air and online.
