ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Hay farmers checked out the latest technology and equipment to harvest their crop at this year's Expo.
Florida hay growers say there's still a shortage in parts of the country. Guy Hale of Alachua, Florida has had calls from ranchers as far away as Kentucky looking for hay.
Hale harvests more than 600 acres of hay. He says comparing farm equipment in the field helps him stay on top of the latest technology.
"We've got where we stay up on the new equipment and stuff," said Hale. "It's improving very quickly and if we can afford it we try to change."
Hale also made the trip to the Sunbelt Ag Expo to check on hay rates and meet up with other hay farmers.
