ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A 14-year-old Albany girl charged with stabbing a 12-year-old boy to death will have her day in Superior Court.
Landronda Hamilton was indicted as an adult and charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during a crime.
Investigators explained Hamilton was mad at Williams because he threw rocks at her mobile home on East Broad Avenue so she chased him down, and stabbed him in the chest.
District Attorney Greg Edwards says because of the crime, she should face a jury.
"I felt I was a matter that should be for our court, to the Superior Court as opposed to being simply well not simply but just sent to the juvenile court. I think the issues surrounding this particular case are very important and it as matter best resolved by having a full jury look at the totality of the circumstances."
Hamilton's attorney has entered a not guilty plea to the charges. Right now she remains in the Dougherty County Jail.
