ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two brazen thieves pulled off quite the heist in Donalsonville. Store surveillance video shows two men stealing money bags from an Inland store.

Surveillance video shows two men walking into the Inland convenience store in Donalsonville Monday afternoon around 5:30 posing as normal customers.

But while one of the men stands in line trying to distract the clerk, the other makes his move. However, he gets away with a whole lot more than just a lottery ticket.

"He went behind the counter where the clerk could not see him and he went to the managers office and plundered through the doors until he found two money bags he took the money bags and stuck them in the front of his pants," said Investigator Chad Robinson.

And as easy as that, the two walked out the store and pulled away in what investigators believe was a silver Chrysler mini van.

" It was broad daylight, customers were walking in and out of the store, its very obvious they planned this out its possible could have watched the store beforehand," said Robinson.

Investigators say the theft wasn't reported until the following morning, when employees realized the money was missing.

"Myself and the other investigator have been out on patrol and doing surveillance on stores," said Robinson.

Investigators say they are following all leads.

Investigators say they do not believe the men are from the Donalsonville area, but nothing has been ruled out yet.

Thursday afternoon police plan on tracking down any arrests made in nearby towns where suspects have been stopped in silver Chrysler mini vans.

If you have any information about the two suspects seen in this news story contact the Donalsonville police department at 229-524-2175.

Police say you may remain anonymous.
