ALBANY, GA (WALB) -An Albany man is thankful  to have found his stolen pickup truck.  It had been sold right out from under him, to a salvage yard in Sylvester.

Joel Tucker went to A.C.S. Scrap Metal in Sylvester looking for a part, and spotted his 1994 GMC Sierra. The truck had been stolen in May. Tucker said it was his family's and had a special spot in his heart.

Tucker said "I just knew it was gone. Matter of fact when I told the police I knew where it was, they were like surely it would have been crushed. But no, they didn't crush it."

Scrap yard owner Eric Lavely is working with Police to find the person who stole Tucker's truck, and will tow the truck back to Albany free to Tucker.

Tucker said as soon as he gets the truck back he will start restoring it.
