ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Georgia's top court has upheld two South Georgia murder convictions.

33-year-old Chadrick Nash was convicted of shooting and killing 25-year old Leon Williams in October 2004. Prosecutors say Nash killedd Williams because Williams wouldn't participate in a Grady County robbery.

The Georgia Supreme Court upheld Nash's murder conviction Monday.

They also upheld the murder conviction of a Ben Hill County woman. Carolyn Merritt was found guilty of fatally shooting her husband Jimmy in the back of his head in 2005.

Although her murder conviction was upheld, the court reversed her conviction of tampering with evidence.
