LEARY, GA (WALB) - A south Georgia sanctuary was filled with music Sunday for the first time as the church celebrated a new beginning.
Eureka Missionary Baptist Church in Leary held a celebration service in their new building on Highway 37.
The new worship space seats 300 people, there's also an education wing.
The project took roughly three years to complete.
"Our sanctuary is now bigger so we can seat more parishioners as well as do the work for the saving of souls it is a facility that God has given us so we can do a greater work that what we were able to do in our old facility," said Rev. Gregory Moye Sr., Pastor.
Eureka Missionary Baptist celebrated 103-years of existence last year.
Right now they have about 100 members.
