Statewide search for two Ben Hill county jail escapees

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A statewide search has been issued for two inmates who managed to escape from the Ben Hill County Jail early Monday morning.

Authorities say 25 year old James Darrell Villers and 20 year old Dillon Levette Spencer managed to open up their cell door and escape onto the yard. The inmates then climbed up on top of the jail and were picked up by an unknown vehicle.

Dillon Levette Spencer is 5'6, 125 pounds, born August 4, 1988. Medium build with a fair complexion and tattoos on both arms.

James Darrell Villers is 5'11, 150 pounds, born November 15, 1983. Medium build, fair complexion no markings.

Both men were in jail for probation violation.
