
Clarence A. Johnson, known to many as "C.A.," age 92, formerly of Albany and Calvary, Georgia passed away August 5, 2009 in Selina, Texas. He was born November 8, 1916 in Spragge, Ontario Canada to Alfred and Beata Johannson. Clarence was a long time resident of Albany, Georgia where he served as a minister and owned C.A. Johnson Home Builders and was owner and broker of Elite Realty.
He is survived by his son Arne C. Johnson, (Becky Clevenger - loving care-giver) of Whitewright, TX; son-in-law Stephen Shier of Peachtree City, GA. Granddaughters, Victoria Swaney (Roy) of Burleson, TX; Mary Herrera (Jesse) of Wylie, TX; grandson Kevin Shier of Peachtree City, GA. Great-granddaughter Elizabeth Swaney, Great-grandson Kegan Shier, and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wives Karin (Gerden) Johnson (1969), and Bernice (Rehberg) Johnson (2006), brother Magnus, sisters Helme and Ellen, and his uncle Matt Carlson who raised him, daughter Vi K. (Johnson) Shier, and granddaughter Karin V. Shier (1996).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home, Albany, Georgia. with visitation at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Ralph Horne officiating. Internment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
