Blanche G. Peters 81, of 1308 Nelms Road died Sunday July 26, 2009 at her residence.

A PRIVATE funeral service will be held WEDNESDAY, at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hurley officiating.

A native of Danbury, CT, Mrs. Peters was the assistant Librarian at Calhoun County High School. She was a member of the Airforce Sgt's Auxiliary and the Golden Key and Golden Striders.

Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her husband Roger William Peters.

Survivors include her four sons, Eric Peters of Putney, GA, Roger Peters of Macon, GA, Dana Peters of Dawsonville, GA and Bruce Peters of Putney, GA; one daughter, Heidi Powers of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Alfred Tschanz of Stratford, CT And one sister, Alice Lucas of Calabash, NC, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
