ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  The Governor's Task Force found a large outdoor marijuana growing operation in Wilcox County during an aerial sweep in southwest Georgia.

The task force is using federal grant money to search for drugs in all 159 counties.  Thursday, they found 435 plants in several growing operations in Wilcox County.

Friday, they ripped up plants along the Ocmulgee River in Abbeville in Dodge County.

On Wednesday, helicopters flying over Lee County found as many as 14 plants growing in a field off Smithville Road and about 18 plants in Webster County.
