ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany business manager wants your help to solve a case of vandalism, and we've got a great picture of the culprit.

The man tried to break into a vending machine at Goo-Goo Car Wash on Dawson Road Saturday and again Monday morning. He didn't quite get in the first time, so he went back with a crow bar.

His efforts were pretty pointless. He didn't get away with anything, and had he simply read the big sign on the vending machine he would have known that the money is emptied each day, and that he was being recorded on camera.

Manager Jeffery Mitchell says this is a case of dumb crook news. He said, "24 hour monitoring and cash removed daily written on the outside of the machine still didn't seem to deter the theft." "He got away with nothing?" asked Reporter Karen Cohilas. "He got away with nothing. Didn't take any products, that he was able to get his hands on to. He was just after the cash, but like it says on the vending machine, it's removed every night."

Mitchell says while the crook didn't get away with anything, he definitely caused damage to the vending machine which will likely have to be replaced. Anyone with information should contact crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
