ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The mayor of Ray City brought his campaign for governor to Albany this evening.
Carl Camon hopes to earn the Democratic nomination.
In downtown Albany, he talked to supporters about his platform which includes including fixing the state's budget woes, giving law enforcers more tools to fight crime, and supporting a statewide high-speed rail system.
Camon says he wants to give all Georgians a voice.
"You're going to have a voice with Carl Camon as the next governor of Georgia, we're going to make sure that southwest Georgia and all of Georgia have a strong voice at the highest level of state government, for so long citizens have been ignored," said Carl Camon, (D) Gubernatorial Candidate.
Camon traveled to Brunswick on the coast, Washington in east central Georgia, and Columbus in west Georgia before stopping in Albany.
He's a father of four, the husband of an educator, and a veteran.
Other democrats in the race are former governor Roy Barnes, attorney General Thurbert Baker, house Minority Leader DuBose Porter, and former National Guard commander David Poythress.
