COFFEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -  Two people were killed in separate car crashes in South Georgia Monday. The first happened in Douglas, just after 11:00 AM, at the intersection of N. Peterson Avenue and McNeal Drive.

A Chevy 1500 pickup truck driven by John M. Pridgen of Broxton and a Chevy Aveo driven by Roosevelt Coney of Douglas collided at the intersection.

The 57-year old Coney was killed.

Then around one Monday afternoon, a Bainbridge woman was killed in a crash at Scott and Broughton Streets. Police say a car ran a stop sign and hit another car.

The car that was hit overturned and the driver was killed. Police haven't yet released names or other details.
