FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) - Two men are behind bars in Fitzgerald and more arrests could be coming after Ben Hill County Sheriff’s deputies busted a meth ring, according to a Facebook post by the sheriff’s office.
Jairo Ramirez, 29, of Fitzgerald and Andrew Justice, 45, of Fitzgerald, are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, party to the crime of trafficking in methamphetamine, abandonment of dangerous drugs, possession of firearms by a convicted felon and use of a communication device in drug transactions.
Multiple agencies conducted an operation where a pound of methamphetamine was seized, along with an amount of cash, approximately 42 guns and approximately 2,000 rounds of ammunition, according to the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the individuals involved had the drugs shipped to an address of a family member and the other individual picked it up.
The drugs were shipped from Mexico to Fitzgerald, the Facebook post stated.
