City of Albany grants restaurant alcohol license

Bread House Alcohol License

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - If you rent out the Bread House for an event, you will now be able to bring your own beer and wine.

City commissioners approved granting the restaurant the alcohol license.

And many in Albany said now is the perfect time for this to happen.

Gerald Morgan said he and his wife are always looking for somewhere to go, have a drink and to just have fun.

“We just don’t have places to go for people to have a good time. And you know, still be responsible at the same time,” said Morgan.

Morgan said this a step in the right direction to keep people here on the weekends, instead of looking for fun things to do out of town.

The restaurant will not actually serve the alcohol, but you can bring it if you rent out the space for any events.
