DAWSON, GA (WALB) - Crews in Dawson are set to start picking up debris Thursday after a pop-up straight line wind storm.
City leaders say crews have restored all power in the city.
They still have some cable lines down, but all roads were clear Wednesday night.
The storm did leave damage to at least four homes and one vehicle.
Dawson’s interim city manager is asking you to get any debris cleaned up and taken to the street, as soon as possible.
“If they’ll move them out to the street, in the morning, before in the morning if possible, before next Thursday at the latest, then our limb and leaf pick-up crew can pick those up from the rights of way,” said James Woods.
Woods said crews worked on getting the Alphabet Academy daycare center repaired Wednesday. Construction workers say the center will need weeks to repair.
He said if you’re still having cable or internet problems after the storm, call your provider.
