Coffee Co. man facing homicide by vehicle charges in teens’ crash deaths

COFFEE CO., GA (WALB) - A Coffee County man has been arrested on multiple charges in connection to a September 2018 crash.

Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers confirmed Wednesday that Cecil Brad Harrell, 19, was arrested.

Harrell is charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle second degree, two counts of safety restraint violation, failure to stop at a stop sign, violation of license restrictions and a window tint violation.

In September, troopers told WALB that Estavan Masariegos, 13, and Reba Creamer, 18, weren’t wearing seatbelts when the crash happened on Broxton-Westgreen Highway at Cross Road.

Both teens were killed on scene.

Harrell was arrested around five months later, after the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team finished its investigation.

According to the Coffee County Jail, Harrell was released from jail on a $10,000 property bond.
