DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - The Douglas Police Department charged one man with murder after a November shooting, according to the department’s Facebook page.
Samuel Edward Jones, 29, was charged in the death of Terrance Daniel Gibson, 31.
A follow-up investigation resulted in two additional charges against Jones for influencing a witness, the post stated.
Jones was indicted by a Coffee County grand jury on malice murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and two counts of influencing a witness on Jan. 24.
Jones was denied bond on Feb. 6 and is currently in the Coffee County Jail.
The department said this is an ongoing investigation.
