SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Worth County High School officials said they are weeks away from finishing their brand new facility.
Hurricane Michael and the many rain showers did cause a few set backs, but officials with Parrish Construction said this month was a lot better for crews.
There were a few leaks in the building that are still being looked at by manufacturers, and they are still trying to find the cause for those leaks.
The fire marshal signed off on moving into the multipurpose room, and crews will be finishing up the football field and tennis courts.
“Another good few weeks of good weather, we should be on track to finish up by the end of January,” said Britt Sutton, Parrish Construction project manager.
Officials said they are well under the budgeted amount of money used for the construction and plan to give back money to the school system.
