ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Spotty showers continue through the evening. Overnight cloudy with patchy fog and not as cold with lows mid-upper 50s. Warm low 70s and breezy as a squall line of showers and thunderstorms heads into SWGA Saturday afternoon. Storm Prediction Center the area in a Marginal Risk for potentially strong-severe with damaging winds, heavy rain and an isolated tornado or two.
As the cold front slides east rain ends early Sunday. Morning clouds clear as brisk northwest winds usher in drier and much colder air. Highs reach low 50s while temperatures tumble into the upper 20s low 30s Monday. Lots of sunshine but no warmth highs low 50s on MLK Jr Day.
Temperatures rebound quickly from the low 60s to low 70s into midweek. Our dry weather quickly ends with rain likely Wednesday and Thursday. Drier and cooler the end of the week into the weekend.
