ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A man was rescued after his car drove into the water at Cromartie Beach Landing Saturday morning.
According to Dougherty County dispatch, the call came in around 7 a.m. by someone that was out on his boat. The vehicle was completely submerged underwater with the victim inside.
Officials used a screwdriver to break the driver side window to get out, according to the EMS.
They also claimed he was running out of air and was suffering from hypothermia.
EMS say the victim was slightly confused when he was found.
He showed no cuts or bruises but has been taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital.
Albany Police is investigating the incident.
