Albany Salvation Army aims to keep you warm in cold weather

Coats for Cold Weather

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - With colder weather forecast for next week in South Georgia, the Salvation Army wants to make sure you have a warm coat for the cold.

Lt. Rebecca Sullivan with Albany’s Salvation Army said that they still have plenty of coats to give to the community.

Sullivan said that if you need a coat, all you have to do is stop by the Salvation Army. Make sure that if you come, you bring in a photo ID, and if you bring your children, you will need their social security cards.

Sullivan said she hopes that those in need will come get a coat.

“It is really important for the community to know that we are here on 2nd Ave. to serve our community. We give a lot of things away for free, however, we just want people to know if there is a need in the community, we are here to serve our community," said Sullivan.

Sullivan said that you do not have to be homeless in order to get a free coat from Albany’s Salvation Army.
