ALBANY, GA (WALB) - FEMA wants to make sure that you are prepared if another natural disaster like Hurricane Michael strikes.
FEMA will have booths set up at the Lee County Walmart on Ledo Road, the Walmart on Lamar Street in Americus, and the Walmart in Thomasville off of U.S. Highway South.
FEMA will be there to provide information and tips on making homes safer and better prepared against disasters.
Wendy Howell, the Dougherty County Public Information Officer, says she hopes that the Dougherty County community will stop by the Lee County Walmart on Saturday.
“If you’re in Walmart on Ledo Road go by there right there in the front of the store, they will have a table set up. There are two representatives from FEMA who are there. They have great information to help you prepare your home for another natural disaster that may come," says Howell.
FEMA will be at the Walmart in Americus and Thomasville Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and the Walmart in Lee County from 8 am to 4:30 p.m.
