ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany fire officials said a house on Telfair Avenue caught fire not once, but twice on Wednesday.
Just after 8 p.m., the Albany Fire Department (AFD) responded to a call of a structure fire in the 100 block of Telfair Avenue.
According to officials at the scene, a portion of the house had caught fire earlier in the day, but it was put out by the person living there.
An official on scene told WALB that although someone was at the residence when it caught fire earlier, nobody was there when the fire happened Wednesday night.
The electricity was turned off to the house, according to AFD.
Officials also said that the house had storm damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
